This two day event will feature a variety of companies showcasing their products and providing the latest culinary training. You will leave the seminar with information on the latest technology and products as well as new skills and resources to put to use when you return to your installation.

Friday September 25th

While spending an afternoon at the historic Marine Barracks you will get a chance to see the latest in cooking technology and learn about the latest culinary trends. Also, Chef Walter Scheib, the former White House Executive Chef, and now “America’s Chef” will be the afternoon keynote speaker for this half day of training. Saturday September 26th
Marine Barracks Washington, 8th & I Streets
Military Culinary Competition
0730 – 1700

Come out and watch the military teams compete in the 6th Military Culinary Competition. This mystery basket competition pits the best military cooks in the Department of Defense against each other, vying for an assortment of prizes. Cooking starts at 0730 continues throughout the day. The awards presentation will take place at 1700. Throughout the day there will also be educational demonstrations from various food service companies. Also “Barracks Row” will once again be hosting their Oktoberfest on Saturday so there will be lots to see beyond the Military Culinary Competition.
